Security Analyst

I’m Samuel Wood, a Security Analyst with a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University. I have a strong background in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) from my experience as a GRC Analyst, where I implemented security frameworks, conducted audits, and managed compliance with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and NIST standards.

In addition to my GRC expertise, I have hands-on experience in vulnerability management and IT support. I’ve conducted internal and external vulnerability scans, overseen physical and cyber audits, and maintained documentation for security compliance. I hold certifications in CompTIA Security+ and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, which support my technical proficiency in security and networking fundamentals, as well as my ability to work with various scanning and SIEM tools.

I’m also passionate about community service and volunteer regularly with My Brother’s Keeper, a nonprofit that provides food and essential supplies to those in need.
