Senior Oracle Developers

About the Role:
We are seeking highly skilled Oracle Developers to join our clients’ team in Houston, TX. As an Oracle Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle databases and applications to support our business operations. You will also work closely with UI teams to develop end-to-end ETL jobs and ensure optimal database performance.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Oracle and PL/SQ and will work on-site at our clients’ office in Downtown Houston.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Oracle databases and applications utilizing partitions, dbms jobs, packages, procedures, function, and Oracle user-defined types.
- Work with UI teams to develop end-to-end ETL jobs.
- Optimize database performance using strong SQL and PL/SQL tuning skills.
- Debug, trace, and fix performance problems using data analysis skills.
- Work with Big Data technologies such as MemSQL, No-SQL DBs, and Python to enhance database capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is properly integrated across systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for Oracle databases and applications.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Oracle development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science
- Minimum of 8 years and maximum of 15 years of working experience in total
- Strong PL/SQL Development and Tuning Skills
- Proficient in working with UI teams/applications and using cursors, XML, JSON, etc.
- Proficient in database development utilizing partitions, dbms jobs, packages, procedures, function and Oracle user defined types
- Strong experience in developing end-to-end jobs as part of ETL
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Data analysis skills to debug, trace, and fix performance problems
- Familiarity with MemSQL, No-SQL DBs and Big Data technologies is a big plus
- Oil and Gas Industry experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Oracle Exadata is a plus
- Experience with Python, exposure to DB connect libs and others like requests, json, pandas, etc. is a plus
